What silly pop-culture yet entertaining movies have you seen today?
 

Thor 2, aka Thor: The Dark World.

As with all Marvel movies to date, Stan Lee has a cameo ... but that's not the reason to go. Chris Hemsworth and Natalie Portman are the reasons to go. There's something about that warrior motif, Hemsworth leaping through the air swinging Mjolnir, that warms the ... soul. And for those not warmed by Hemsworth's brawn, there are Portman's eyebrows! Perfect wings above those beautiful brown eyes and perfect cheekbones ... I have to wonder if she does the wing-shaped eyebrow thing in everyday life. Something tells me, no. But they look great on the big screen.

It's entertaining and the stars and cameos are fun. Not serious drama, but it makes for a lighthearted evening if you're willing to suspend disbelief etc.
