The Song of Your Life

According to some people who don't know shit, "the song of your life" is the tune which was #1 on the US charts on your 14th birthday.
Check it out.

Heh, Everly Brothers, Bird Dog. Hmm, maybe they do know shit. ;)

And you get in your car and you drive real far
And you drive all night and then you see a light
And it comes right down and lands on the ground
And out comes a man from Mars
And you try to run but he's got a gun
And he shoots you dead and he eats your head
And then you're in the man from Mars
You go out at night, eatin' cars
You eat Cadillacs, Lincolns too
Mercuries and Subarus
And you don't stop, you keep on eatin' cars

That's a cool one to have! Some consider Rapture to be the first number one rap song, the one that brought rap into serious consideration. And it's Blondie.

I got You Needed Me by Anne Murray. My dad always loved Anne's voice. It's not the anthem I would choose. Hot Child in the City was right next to it, and I remember that well because I liked the song so much my brother gave me the Nick Gilder album then.

Neat site!

Either that song had staying power, or you and Popdigr are about the same age.

Could be, 1944.
When you dial in a date, it goes back to 1938, but the list of #1 hits only goes back to August of 1958.
