Donner Party
 

Surely you've head of the Donner Party, but may not know the story.
Donner Scientific Company was founded back in '53 in by Wild Bill Rosenberry. A year later Wild Bill decided to move the whole shebang to Concord, CA, but techies who had filed claims in Concord were mighty unhappy about that. So they put on their Hollywood faces and pretended to throw a welcoming party up in the hills. When Wild Bill and the Donner crew arrived, the techies slipped 'em roofies in their Chardonnay, then took the cake and went home. Well it snowed over night while whole crew was out cold, and the rest is history.
