Kiwi and Adobo
Perhaps our lovely baker from down-under can answer this.
When has a kiwi gone bad? I have some cubed pork and was thinking about an Adobo, but online recipes looks like a bunch of salt. Anyone help? Tnks b |
I think kiwi is mushy when its over-ripe.

Well this is probably a bit late, but yeah, if the kiwi isn't firm anymore it's no good to you, no matter what sort of kiwi.
When I cook adobo, I make it with cola, star anise, soy sauce, ginger and garlic. Not sure how you guys do it over there, but I don't recommend coke. Pepsi seems to be the best, and use reduced salt soy sauce. I always use light soy also. I also only use half cola and half stock (vege or beef or chicken - doesn't really matter). eta: my step mum is from the philipines and taught me how to cook adobo. Not sure if it's the same where you are, but I love it with pork or chicken. |

Baker lady thank ya. Ya Know That years ago I drove a truck And sometimes hauled Kiwi. We called them gorilla balls. And had not a clue what to do with them. Needless to say we took some of the cargo.
