Can You Hear the Difference
Vinyl is the hot ticket.
No, CDs & DVDs are the way to go. Bah, MP3 is the shnizzle. High Fidelity? You can't handle High Fidelity! NPR has a test to see if you can pick out the best audio files. Of course it could be argued it doesn't mean shit if you take the test on different electronics than you listen to music on. |
There's that pesky word, best, again.
One of my least favorite aspects of my brief retail career was helping customers with their requests for "What is the best chisel, bike, screwdriver, camera, lens, whatever. I finally gave up and grabbed the nearest one and said this is the best, and then spun out a mile of bullshit yarn for them. |
I used to get that when people asked me which pushchair I would buy (not randomly - I was working in a relevant shop at the time).
Well... I'm single, so it would definitely be unplanned, I have no car so would need to get it on and off public transport, am time-rich, cash-poor etc etc. You have a lovely burly husband and supportive extended family, two large cars, and I'm guessing a reasonable amount of money to spend on this beloved new arrival. Little different, no? I just made the best guess given what they told me their needs were, and tried to pretend I had the same life. |

I won't hold the gayness against you, unless you ask real nice like.
