I know y'all probablyc won't believe me, but...
I really am sorry for my behavior in this place. I've decided to take a page out of Ali's book, and try to be a better person. However, I'm gonna keep reacting to your posts whenever I feel it necessary; I'll just try not to take things to personally.

Thanks for saying that John.

The trick is, even if you go away for awhile and come back, we won't have forgotten you. Just sign on as you, and say hi. It's hard not to want to create a persona online, but really, all you have to do is chill and talk and not try to impress anyone.

Get a pet, and if someone offends you laugh it off and beat the pet.
No wait, pillow, not pet, pillow. :haha: |
It's times like this I remember what my grandmother used to say;
"It's just not sex without something in your ass!" I miss her. ;-) |
:D

Not taking things personally is a weird thing. Takes adjusting to. Our instinct is to always be liked, but none of us ever will be, because humanity. I think it's a fine thing you've posted this. Carry on, I say.

Some days it's easy to keep a sense of perspective. Other days it's hard not to take everything personally. I think that's probably something most of us struggle with at times, John.
One thing I have noticed about you though, is that whilst you're often quite quick to take offence or take something personally, you're also usually pretty quick to step back from that and recognise when you've taken personally something that wasn't meant to be taken that way. That's a pretty cool character trait in my opinion. |
Yeah, he's OK. Quirky, but not malicious. He seems to get annoyed at lack of feedback on videos he posts, when he should save that for someone who gives him shit about what he posts. That said, he seems to be progressing up the learning curve nicely. I hope he sticks around. :thumb:
