Oct 15th, 2018: Chateau Artisan

If you’re looking for a warm place, you know, a place to get away from winter, maybe something like this castle in Homestead, Florida.

8 bedrooms, 7.5 baths, 19,222 sq ft, on 14 acres, in a 5 acre private lake and royal gardens. Grand wrought iron gated entry followed
by mammoth wooden privacy gates, long tree-lined drive, obelisk focal point, Koi pond, covered patio, pool.
The 3-story Chateau has enormous kitchen, impact glass, full-house generator, boat house, BBQ gazebo and sleeping gazebo.

Of course all the neighbors are all farmers as this used to be a tomato field.

They wanted $12.8 million in 2012, then $10.9 million in 2013, but unfortunately for you it’s off the market right now.

I don't know, I'm really looking for something with a drawbridge.

It's not even on a bus route.

Hasn't got a lot going for it really.

Probably high humidity and mosquitoes. :haha:

Homestead, Florida is 3 feet above sea level.

Really cool, until of course one of Florida's sinkholes opens up and drains the pool then eats all or part of the house.:thepain:

It's higher than 50% of the land area of The Netherlands.

The nosebleed section...

I'll pass. For that kind of money, I expect a garage. Or at least a carport. I don't want my car sitting out under the sun, getting too hot inside.

No problem newtimer, after the chauffeur drops you at the house he/she will take the car and put it away at the gatehouse. ;)

I was a bit surprised to see no boathouse or rowboats.

xoxoxoBruce 10-16-2018 04:21 PM

The ad says boathouse but I don't know where it is.
