May 4th, 2019: Graffiti Plane

Gooze Art (George Kurinov) graffitied this Yak 52 airplane with a badass Dragon.
He’s a muralist, illustrator, street artist, and graffiti artist from the city of krasnodar in South Russia.

What really boggles my mind is he did this with spray cans. My experience with spray cans is paint all the things. I had very
little control of the pattern or density across the pattern. I wonder if those are special cans/nozzles for artists?

No wonder he gets work around the world. But since he lives in Communist/Socialist territory, how do the 774,000 people in
Krasnodor decide what and where he paints, or do they let him work where he can and just split the money when he’s done?

It's long, and there are plenty like it on YouTube. I don't think it's a matter of special nozzles as it is a willingness to get wet and be creative with masks. And thinking from the bottom layer to the top layer is crucial. It really is entertaining.

edited to add this one which is the one I remembered.

I thought the starburst/twinkles were especially ingenious.

I've seen those space paintings done is person, but he's not using masks/templates,or scraping wet paint just freehanding. Although his edges probably aren't sharp up close, they are certainly controlled.

I've seen those done in person too. They are fun to watch. The paintings are impressive but not something I would want in my house. I think the real offering they provide is the entertaining show. Too bad they can't charge the crowd admission. Why buy the painting when you can watch it being done for free?

It's a little like Bob Ross. Except his art was a lot better. I still wouldn't want to hang a print of his painting on my wall. He's famous enough that the real deal would be very desirable, but a poster? Nah.
