It’s January in Appleton, MN. There’s a heavy wet snow coming down.
The pilot calls the boss in Tennessee telling them the weather outside is frightful, the hotel is quite delightful, suggesting they
wait a day... wait a day, wait a day, wait a day.

The boss, hearing wine corks and giggling over the hum of the hot tub in the background, plus knowing he won’t make it home
to his warm bed this night, explodes in rage. No way, we have packages to destroy, promised deliveries to not make, and not to
mention Tom Hanks to lose. Deice that damn plane!!

No that’s not a flamethrower, the liquid glycol spray used to deice is lit up by the mid-aircraft light on the top of the plane.
