Child Molestor Priest Killed In Prision
 

John Geoghan, a 68 year old ex-priest who was serving jail time for touching little boys' testicles, was killed Saturday in jail. The bringer of justice was one Joseph Druce, serving time for a 1988 murder. Geoghan is the guy that was sentenced last year after being convicted in early 2002. You almost certainly heard of him.

Druce apparently snuck into his cell during the "return your lunch trays" time, jammed it shut so the guards wouldn't get in, tied up Geoghan and strangled him, then repeatedly jumped off his bed onto his lifeless body and beat him with his fists.

Now, I'm actually reading people saying that it's awful, what happened to him. Which is clearly not the case. He got what he deserved (after 130 "credible" threats of molestation against him - this doesn't include the many that were considered "not credible").

What a fuckin' shame this shit bag isn't going to be sucking up tax dollars. It brings a tear to my eye. Really.

I'm profoundly ambivalent. I don't condone killing. But on the other hand I certainly don't feel sorry for Geoghan.

As far as I'm concerned, the $64 question is.. he's dead. Fine. Now what happens to all the people who knew what he was doing, and didn't do anything about it?

And, for the record, it was 150 alleges. Lord knows how many actuals.

Heaven or hell is not for me to say. But what I can say is good riddance.

150 allegations, 130 "credible". I stand by what I wrote.

I don't nessarly condone killing eather , but just imagen if it was your kid , I know I wouldn't have any problem going to jail for wacking the basterd , hell just imagen the conversation in the jail cell , "so what did you do ? Well some asshole molested my kid , i found him , stuck a .44mag up his ass and pulled the trigger till it went CLICK !" :shotgun:

If everyone's okay with it, why not just make that his sentence in the first place?

It was only a matter of time before someone got him. A child molester's average lifespan in prison is just about the same as a marine on D-Day on Omaha beach.

I'm tempted to say he should have gotten the death penatly for such despicable crimes, but I would not want to be the one to carry out the sentence.

Not everyone *is* OK with it. Of course I can't think of one good reason why.;)

Apparently, since he died during his appeal, his original conviction is now required to be invalidated.

Well, I don't exactly see anyone outraged over his death. If they were truly against his murder then would they really be so blasé about it?
