A powerful little gem

I Eat the Red

A short little essay. Even as a non-breeder, I was moved. Read the whole thing, then click the link he has.

Stuff like this makes a pretty good case for involuntary sterilization, doesn't it?

CNN did a minute on the story. The blood dad has custody now, and they showed him holding the youngster. He seems like a responsible human being, who was saying "I'm so glad I've got her... I'll do whatever it takes... whatever it takes."

Phew!

Nope. We tried that in America. We de-humanized folks from a few different groups, treating them as second class citizens, then the Nazis embraced our lovely idea and took the obvious next step. Having the state choose the breeders has been done... over done.

That was mostly facetious on my part, Griff. I don't seriously believe in eugenics, but this woman should avoid having any more children, ever...seriously.

Unfortunately, people are allowed to have and abuse as many kids as they want for quite some time. My brother in law adopted two children a few years back, twin sisters who came from a family of eight kids, all had been remanded to state custody at some time or other, and the mother was pregnant again at the time the state granted their adoption from foster care to my wife's brother.
