HTML question
So I've got an MS excel file I want to make available to people on my wepage. What is the code to do that?
|
Just upload it & put a link to it like you would any other file. Unless you're on a truly ancient web platform, it should pass the MIME code so that the browser will know it's an Excel file and handle it accordingly.

*IF* they're running Windows and *IF* they have Excel installed.
Yuck. Load it into Excel and do Save as HTML. |
yup - recommend the Save as HTML option.
It will even insert code to replicate the work sheets you have in the spread sheet. |
Yeah, yeah, good points. I'd still consider putting the file out if it's something you want people to be able to adapt. Even if people don't have Excel they may have something that will open it (StarOffice, WP office, etc.).

I went ahead and saved it as html, then uploaded the file. That worked beautifully!! Thanks so much!
