Whoa!

I'm hungary!

I knew someone that worked in the bogs. He said one of the coolest things to watch is the seperation of good and bad ones -- the machine drops them and they bounce off of a board. The ones that are rotten/bad/underipe don't bounce and roll into the discard bin.

At the New York Worlds Fair in 1964, SKF showed how they sort out steel ball bearings in a similar way. They would hit an angled plate and bounce into the proper bin by size. Reminded me of Skee-Ball at the carnival.

Hey! Don't knock cranberries until the day comes that you've consumed so much coffee that you piss blood in the morning. It is that day, my friend, that the juice of the humble cranberry is your savior.

All praise the mighty cranberry! Disguiser of vodka.

Thanks for the pictures Beletseri. When my kids were younger they liked the Cranberry books by Wende and Harry Devlin, about a town where they harvest Cranberries.

Now I know what it looks like.
