Here kitty kitty

I talked to another PGC mountain lion conspiracy nut a couple weeks back. Lottsa folks are claiming to see the critters. This is the eventual outcome.

LAKE FOREST, Calif., Jan. 8 — A cougar attacked two bicyclists on Thursday, injuring at least one in an wilderness park where the body of a man who may have been mauled by the same animal was found, the authorities said.

We've got them here in NW Missouri and NE Kansas, confirmed by our respective DNR and Conservation folks. Cool.

Or were those Nittany Lions? Philly region has many of those also.

In the meantime, Sherrif Deputies hunting down a Mountain Lion that had attacked and killed humans were being stalked by that Mountain Lion. Fortunately, a chopper with infrared sensors spotted the stalking lion and probably saved those deputy lives.

We've got 'em all here in Washington. I've nearly run over several foxes. Seen a bear in a mall parking lot in Bellevue, and poked at more deer than I can remember.

My mom was driving schoolbus for a while in Eastern Washington, and was trying to explain to the Hispanic lady that she'd just seen a mountain lion as she let her kids off the bus. She finally said "El Grande Gato!", and the the lady said "Ah! Si! Si! Gracias!" and promply led her kids indoors.

We have the same deal just north of the Twin Cities, been several big cat sightings, though no attacks yet. We didn't hunt them to extinction, took away most of their competition. Did we expect anything else? I for one am glad they're around. It means we haven't fscked up the environment too much.

We've seen cougar tracks at Rickett's Glen, PA.

My fav quote about the Philly kitty was the woman who told a reporter that she wasn't afraid of running into the cat because, ya know, she's a Leo, so they'd be able to communicate.

Ummmmmm...yeah.

Reminds me of a conversation I heard at a psychic faire ...

flake #1: Hey, don't I know you from Atlantis?
flake #2: Yeah. Isn't it amazing how many of us have reincarnated on the East Coast?
