skiing

hey,

does anyone ski?

Happy Monkey 02-04-2004 01:55 PM

Used to, when I was in the Scouts. We had an annual ski trip.

I haven't made the time since then.

i used to love it. then i got fat....and i stopped going.

jinx grew up on x-country skis, and she DIDN'T get fat

now i'm losing weight, and feeling a good deal more athletic, and i think i'd like to go sometime this year before the season ends......

anyone local to SE PA interested?

I attempted to ski when I was in high school. My friends made me go. (yes, I had friends. We were those kids that sat alone in the cafeteria.)

It did not go well.

Being dragged up the tow rope at Spring Mountain was just the start of a not-so lovely day of mostly falling down in the snow.

The chair lift is too fucking high (remember that "fear" thread ... if you could get me up the mountain without involving height, I might consider it).

I believe skiing (crosscountry) is big fun in Grifftopia.

Sure. My Mom and Dad had a place at Lake of the Ozarks in the middle of Missouri when I was growing up. I started on two skis when I was seven. I slalomed when I was eight. It was always great to be on the water.

Oh. Wait. You mean snow.

Nevermind.
