Vidalia Onion Relish
1 Attachment(s)
I don't do a lot of product endorsements, but I love this stuff. It's relish made from tiny chunks of vidalia onions (like pickle relish). The only ingredients are vidalia onions (97%), water, vinegar, and sugar. I've only been able to get it in the large jar at BJ's, which costs about $7.
It's the greatest thing in condiments since hot pepper rings. |
fix your self up a big ole' pot or black eyed peas , put them in a bowl and put a healthy dolop of this wounderful stuff on it , corn bread on the side , dip the corn bread and slurp the peas . AHHHH Heaven in a bowl !!!!!!:D :D

In Georgia, all the 7-11's have Vidalia onion relish in the fixins bar to put on the hot dogs. Good stuff.
Those hot pepper rings they use up North aren't bad ("hot" is kind of a misnomer) but they have wayy too many stems in them. Every time I'd order a Philly cheesesteak, I'd ask for extra hot peppers (still couldn't get it hot enough) but then I'd have to spend a minute or two pickin' the stems out first. Good sandwich, tho - the grilled onions just make that sandwich. |
