To Scopulus Argentarius
Where did you get that name????
It is one of the most fasinating that I found in the cellar As far as I am concerned, Scopulus might mean "to watch" [Greek: Skopion] {micro-scope, tele-scope, etc.} and Argentarius might mean The Silver ???Thrower???, ???Pursuer???. [Latin: Argentum- silver] (see the periodic table) [-arius ???? (like sagitarius (Arrow-thrower) Amyway, it is really cool. |
Thanks...
For meaning, Look toward the Latin origins of the words. Both have similar meanings to my actual name. Scopulus loosely translates to peaks/hilltops/mountains. My first name translates to the same. In fact, my last name's origins have assocations with this word also. Argentarius is one who handles silver on a day to day basis (withtin the context of ancient Rome) and has a more literal translation to my real last name. |
