Solving the image problem (prisoner abuse)

The solution to this problem is very harsh. We want to improve our image and we want to give legitamacy to Iraqs new government. Let the new Iraqi judiciary try and punish everyone involved, soldiers, CIA, and civilians.

Sure, only we don't really turn over anyone important - just round up a few scapegoats who are expendable like in that old Australian film, "Breaker Morant." Hmmmm, any colonials we don't much care for who are on our side in Iraq? I know! Let's turn some Canadian over to the new Iraqui government. No one will miss a few of them. Yes, it was a Canadian plot!

You, dreamer, you, Griff.

Solution?

Go back in time and call off the invasion.

Other than that, I don't see a solution to the problem of providing irrevocable evidence that we are just as capable of atrocities as the regime we replaced. At this point, I don't even think it would help if we found an entire fleet of tankers brimming over with bioToxins.

I wasn't worried about our international image re: invading Iraq... until now.

Just keep us the fuck out of the international criminal court ...

Troubleshooter 05-04-2004 10:19 AM

Kill every Iraqi and then they won't be mad at us.

Well, the last thing Bush should be doing right now it bragging in campaign speeches that “because we acted, Saddam's torture chambers are closed.”

Funny, they don’t look closed to me. They just look like Americans are now running them instead of Sadam’s people. But then Sadam’s people are back in charge of the military so well the more things change the more they stay the same it would seem.

Such an act would reduce the legitimacy of OUR government, as it would violate our laws.

Uhmmmm, ftttttttttttt! Like our government never violates its own laws! Thats it! We'll send Bush and Company thru the"Scared Straight" program and make them read all Lady S.'s posts on capitol punishment! I'm sure that will straighten them right up.

Lets see. George Jr and UT both claim Saddam had rape rooms. Trouble is they could not even prove it. However we have proof that George Jr has created rape rooms. One male US guard had sex with his female Iraqi prisoner. Of course that is OK. Not even a court marshal since we need not even worry about a trial in The Hague. After all, he was only doing what god's choosen president condones.

Sexual abuse of heathens was acceptable when god's choosen president opened Camp Delta in Cuba - so that isolation, sexual and other abuse would be legal. God is not dumb. That is why he choose George Jr to be president. That is why good Americans now run the rape rooms in Iraq.

We have the president we deserve. Happens when we let right wing religious extremists do the voting for us. By 97% - they elected god's choosen president for us. Clearly god has declared sexual abuse of evil Islamic prisoners to be justified. No reason for the administration to even inform Congress that it was ongoing - since clearly torture and sexual abuse is god's will.

We know god choose George Jr. George Jr said so the day he took office as Govenor of TX.
