Norwegians Tommy Hol Ellingsen, 28, and his girlfriend Leona Johansson, 21, are dedicated to having sex in public to save the environment.

Although the full story doesn't do a good job of explaining how it works, it seems they accept cash to perform sex acts in public or something and are claiming to have raised a very substantial amount of money doing it. And apparently no organization will accept the money.

That doesn't help explain why they went ahead with their plan during this Norwegian festival.

It seems to me that screwing for the environment is not a good plan... it might lead to more consumers.

I find it strange that no orgs will accept the money, it's not like they're sacrificing kittens or something.

I once heard of a Brazilian band (7-9 members, male and female) that would perform naked, intending to shake the stigma "Naked Body = Nasty" and to promote healthy sexuality. I don't remember if they actually went into full intercourse on stage but I do remember there was a husband and wife pair in the group that would get fondly and kissyface on stage while the rest of the band played. This was several years ago, but if I can find anymore info on them I'll post it.

OhmyGod, I laughed my ass off at that one. This will be the new excuse for having sex in public:

Well, at least screwing FOR the environment is better than just screwing the environment. If they weren't Norwegian, I'd say run them on the Green Party platform.

I'm all for trying to save the environment :D , but if the fund raiser concept is just to gloss over the sick little fantasies of weekend hippies wanting to doggie each other in public, and have people pay to watch them, then thats ridiculous. I mean they hadnt even organised a charity to give the proceeds to... How serious could they possibly have been about the environment.. sounds to me like they were only thinking about their egos.

They don't look worse than your typical porn actors (which isn't saying that much.) Especially your typical European porn actors.

Well i dont watch porn (i've only seen snipets of 2 or 3), so i wouldn't know what typical porn actors look like.

If they were filming some porn movies out in the environment or something, Like documenting the demise of nature on earth with added porn (like an X rated version of the naked news) and then selling them with profit going toward a preselected and agreed organisation.. maybe that would work?
