7/9/2004: Pigs on tiger
http://cellar.org/2004/pigstiger3.jpg
Happy Friday! This is the Siracha Zoo, in Thailand, where they are trying to get more people to visit by pairing up unlike animals and teaching them to live in harmony from a young age. http://cellar.org/2004/pigsontiger.jpg I guess they do that partly by wrapping up the weak ones in the fur of the strong ones? http://cellar.org/2004/pigstiger2.jpg It seems to be working. |
You know one day, when all the kids are watching, one of those little piggies is going to get ripped clean in half by a swat of the paw.
All seems a bit...unethical to me, I was under the impression that zoos should attempt to create environments as close to 'home' as possible, not fuck with their heads for our amusement. |
Yeah, I wonder how adorable and amusing it would be if the tiger's instinct suddenly kicked in :corn:. On the other hand, it's nice of them to provide meals that aren't scared of the dining patron. Makes 'em easier to catch. :spam1:
Otherwise, that IS a cute picture! |

Some how I missed that zoo, must have had my mind elsewhere.

It's cute now, but watch out piggies when that tiger gets older!

When the piggies get big, perhaps the tiger will not like them anymore and ... well, there's one ending possibility.

Never get out of the boat.
Damn fucking straight. |
theres always the possibility that the piggies grow up, get angry and attack and eat the tiger...... :D
|
The piglets look to me like they are only very young, however the tiger looks to be a little older, a teenager even.
I wonder how they introduced them to the tiger without any complications? |
Made sure he wasn't hungry, probably.
