All animals are created equal, but some are more equal than others. ;)

I just found the link for Hogzilla.

He's quite the fashion plate isn't he? Knee high wellies, shorts a dirty T-shirt and latex gloves. Oh and the ball cap.

Wonder what he used to shoot him, big hogs are supposed to have skin like a rhino. Maybe something exotic like an H&H 375 or a Krieghoff .470 Nitro Express.

xoxoxoBruce 08-17-2004 09:39 PM

I think they're rubber boots. :)

'Wellies' is an English term for rubber boots, after the Great Duke of Wellington who wore knee-high boots. I'm not sure how the word's usage switched from leather to rubber boots.

Ah so, here Wellingtons are still leather. Must be your rainy climate. :D

You're just not shopping at J.Crew enough Bruce, we have rubber wellies over here too.

I think I hear Wellington spinning in his grave.....'bout 8k rpm.
The rubber boots are from, or copies of, the Hunter Wellington Company, no relation to the Duke and his leather boots.......and whips....and restraints.....and ball gags... ;)

No, no j crew.

Does it seem to anyone else that "hogzilla" does not appear to be 12 feet long, as the article claims? Using the guy in the ditch as a guide - and factoring in the fact that he's a little bit away - the hog seems to be pretty normal sized (from what I've seen at state fairs, anyway).

And speaking of oddities in pictures, does it not seem that the hand, in Jinx's picture of a girl in boots, belongs to a man? :eyebrow:
