Toys from Eddie Bauer

Ok, I admit it. I like shiny toys. Last night after dinner my wife and I checked out the local Eddie Bauer store. I was rummaging around the clearance section when the saleslady told me all clearance items were an extra %30 off.

I picked up the self-powered radio/flashlight and LED headlamp in the pictures. The headlamp has a button to select 1-3-5 LEDs or 3 flashing LEDs. I have wanted a powerful LED flashlight but didn't want to spend $30-50, so the headlamp for $10 was good for me.

I also picked up a mini air ionizer for my office and a collapsible 3 piece BBQ set with two handles and knife, fork, and spatula attachments. The items cost $7-12 each.

The self powered flash-radio is at least practical since we do sometimes lose power and it's nice to have something that doesn't rely on batteries. I don't have an excuse for the other items.

I will bring the BBQ set and headlamp to Forks next year.

The main toy that I always wanted from Eddie Bauer, they discontinued. At one point they had a line of nicely made games ... there was this travel cribbage set that was just sweet. Metal pegs, nice wooden box that held your deck of cards and provided the scoring tracks. I've since received one from a different manufacturer, but that Eddie Bauer set is what got me started.

I do have a couple Eddie Bauer Flannel Moose.

Actually, the did have some games on the clearance rack. I didn't pay much attention to them.
