Boiling peanuts

This seems to be a southern thing. Some folks add crab boil. I like loads of salt & a few cold brews. But there's red pepper in here :)

Boiled peanuts fall into the same category as chitterlings (read: chitlins). They smell much worse than they taste.

Did you call for chitlins? Boiled & fried. How anyone could do this inside, I'll never know.

Ok, I know all about boiled chitlins. My mom used to make and...EAT them. But that the first time I've ever heard of them fried. :eek3:

Boiled peanuts are yummy.
Chittterlings are digusting in all their evil forms. It's poop-tubes, people! POOP TUBES!

Boiled peanuts are a big part of the reason that the family and I go down to South Carolina every year. Throughout the entire summer, on every street corner, there is a stand with some of the best produce I've ever tasted (summer tomatoes are the best part of july and august), and about 90000000000000000000000002 gallons of peanuts boiled in saltwater. Simply amazing stuff. As for chitlins, much like pigs feet, I have to ask, "What the Fuck?"

My daddy, a good old boy from the South, used to like to boil himself up a nice pot of pig's feet every now and then. It was the one item of Southern cuisine that I simply could not share with him! :dead:

Beware! never try to use anything made of paper to wipe that shit off. Just like glue.
