Cats for York

Over in the Dog thread, York asked if we had a cat thread. Well here's your chance to show the world your pussy,....again.

Cats are not pets.

Cats are furniture.

The sofa doesn't come when you call it either.

No, I was just too lazy to find your thread.

Wolf, that's not nice,....funny,........and true,...but not nice.

btw- Where's York?

My sister has cats. I enjoy them when they deign to wander across my lap or do cute kitty things of their own volition. They are fur bearers, and therefore fun, enjoyable, and likable on that count alone.

But my opinion stands as stated.

It shouldn't come as a surprise to learn that I'm a dog person.

I ought to nominate the cat I had when I was in school for some kind of history book, because he must have been the only cat in the world who would come when called, allow himself to be picked up and turned over and wrestled with, didn't mind if you played with his tail, was a gentle kneader, didn't bite and would defend his family (myself and my mom in particular) from strange dogs.

Banzai (excitedly) comes when called, and will hunt/kill/eat any flies or moths I point out to him. He also used to play fetch, but I haven't done that in a long time, not sure if he still would.

Both of my current cats come when called. So did my old one, before she lost her hearing. Then you had to flip a light switch or something to get her attention.

- Pie, cat (and dog!) person

PS: My parents have trained their Aussie to growl and bark when the name "bush" is mentioned. :D
