Cumming First
Cumming First, United Methodist Church......er...uh...make that..ah....
Cumming, First United Methodist Church has a website that shows the building of a new pipe organ in the church. Pages of pictures and explanations of the history, theory, construction and even the instruments mimicked by pipe organs. Pretty cool, really. :) |
An exboyfriend had a (probably psychotic) landlord who collected pipe organs.
He had three of them, disassembled, in his home and several more in storage. |
My father has a pump/pedal organ that belonged to my great grandmother. Looks a bit like this one
http://www.antiquefurniture.us/antiq...pump_organ.JPG It was very fun (and exhausting) to play when I was a kid - although I can't believe they let me bang away on it like I did... had to be a hundred years old at that point. |
That's beautiful. The organist's "Is anybody sneaking up on me" mirror is still intact too!

Given your title, I thought you were going to give us some information on the noted organ player William Crotch.

Behold! The Mighty Wurlizter! Still played in... a pizza place in Ellenton, FL? This pipe organ is somewhat excessive, but its quite impressive to hear.
