Touching Base

Hallo!!!! Gosh it's been a while. Just thought I'd hop on work's internet and touch base with y'all

My internet at home is offline so I am only able to access from work and then only for a short spell.....in theory we are only supposed to use the internet here for work based research heheh but what the hey.

Teaching is going very well indeed. I am loving every minute of it. I find the guys from Iraq are fascinating to talk to. One of them was sentenced to death in Saddam's Iraq and was in fact in an execution "queue" awaiting death when a last minute repreive was given to him and the rest of the men in his line. ( as a word of explanation, it was the practice for the condemned to queue up and then one by one sign their names, purchase the bullets <of which there were three in case one missed> and then get shot.

Another guy is an Iraqi Kurd who was an opposition politician and had to leave in fear of his life 4 years ago.

Their take on the war has been very illuminating. Surprisingly the Kurd was against the war.

I am sooo annoyed i lost my internet just before the election!!! I missed the Cellarites' incisive commentary and had to rely instead on the BBC.

Hope you are all well and happy. Speak to you soon

Dana

Yes, these people have been coming out of the woodwork lately. Many are in the US Army and SF. Can't they take a joke!?

Who says I'm not a nice man. I was merciful to many.

Sure hope someone in charge remembers that after January.

Best wishes Dana. There is more work to be done there than we can imagine.

You're teaching creationism, right?
