Burton/Depp is a dream combination for Wonka, but Burton has failed before, so we'll have to see.

Out of curiosity, which of Burton's movies were his failures for you? I have ones that I certainly like a lot less, but none really stick out in my mind as colossal bombs...

You're right, I had totally forgotten that was directed by him...

I also didn't much like Edward Scissorhands, but I realise I'm in the minority on that one. :)

Apes was the big one, but also Batman 2 to a lesser extent.

Yeah, but Michelle Pfeiffer in that costume made up for that.
