romantic v day suggestions

Because that wonderful day is nearing ... and oddly for the first time in as long as I can possibly remember, I will actually have a date this year.

But I just wanted to leave this with you Ohio folks to chew on (no pun intended). I, for one, will attend if possible.

(This is a real press release that just came across PR Newswire - couldn't help myself.)

Candlelight Valentine Dinners at White Castle

CINCINNATI, Jan. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Got a steamy night planned for St.
Valentine's Day? White Castle offers customers the opportunity to crave some
love while they love the crave at 26 Cincinnati area locations on Monday,
February 14.
(Logo: http://www.newscom.com/cgi-bin/prnh/...HITECASTLELOGO )
Between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m., cravers will be greeted at the door by a host
and taken to their own candle-lit table with decorations and table covers.
They will receive table service complete with wait staff. Reservations are
required.
"We hear many stories from married cravers for whom White Castle is a
special part of their lives together, be it because they met at a White Castle
or because when they were young it was a fun place to go that they could
afford and it has remained so for them. With this history of 'royal' love
affairs, a special Valentine's Day dinner at White Castle is a natural fit,"
said Greg Poe, district supervisor in Cincinnati. "This is the first year we
have offered reserved seating for Valentine's Day dinners. It is our pleasure
to offer this fun event for our loyal customers."

Too bad the closest one to Philadelphia is in New Brunswick, NJ. :)

I'm sensing a "Harold and Kumar Go To White Castle 2: Valentine's Day".

Yes, White Castle was a fun place to hang out when I was young and broke and high...er, hungry! Who says we here in the Buckeye State don't have any culcha? :)

Not true Syc, there is a WC just across the Walt Whitman in Camden (why you would ever go to Camden is beyond me, but hey, the Porcelain Palace is a worthy cause).

We deduced that Harold and Kumar attempted to go to the New Brunwsick site (Rt. 1 south, just past the Rt. 18 junction) - but when they found it was no longer there, they ventured down 295 to the Cherry Hill/Camden one. It all makes so much sense ... and I'm not even stoned (right now).

Nah...just checked their website, which is up to date. IIRC, the last one in the area was on Rt. 73, just off the T-P Bridge. It closed some time ago, and was torn down.
