So who'd you get in the office pool/bar pool etc..?
Random draw got me Kansas(3), Syracuse(4), and Utah St(14). |
Not doing the office thing but my final four is:
Illinois and Georgia Tech with Illinois advancing North Carolina and Oklahoma with UNC advancing. I have Illinois taking the prize. |
We've gotten to the point where the only pool we do is the superbowl block pool.
Sports apathy reigns supreme. Especially with the Flyers not playing. We're a hockey hospital. It's kind of sad. There are several cars in the parking lot with windowflags bearing the Fly-boy's logo. |
My final 4 is Illinois, West Virginia (as my whoa where did they come from seed), Kentucky and UNC.
UNC taking it all, of course! I am just itching at the possibility of a UNC v. Kansas game in the elite 8... that would be freaking amazing as Kansas is still bitter from us taking their coach. |
Roy Williams...frigging two-faced, back-stabbing traitorous....mumblemumblemumble... :bitching:
KU picked a really lousy time to start sucking, too. It is a long time until football season here in the Midwest, so being a sports fan is gonna suck until then. |

my picks for the college basketball finals?
LeBron James and the Cav's over Carmelo Anthony and the Nuggets, Dorrell Wright and Miami over Dwight Howard and Orlando oh wait .... now I remember why college bball sucks. |

The Kansas players and coach didn't even hang around for the post-game handshakes. Presumably, they had to hurry back to the hotel so they wouldn't have to pay for an extra night  |

Word around campus was that Vermont could give Syracuse a run... Gee, I guess! They ripped through the America East schedule but AE is pretty weak, although maybe getting better.
WORCESTER, Mass. (AP) -- Tom Brennan would have retired a happy man regardless. But his 264th victory at Vermont made his impending departure a whole lot sweeter. The wildly popular coach cried openly Friday night after his 13th-seeded Catamounts earned their biggest victory in school history. Germain Mopa Njila and T.J. Sorrentine hit consecutive 3-pointers in a 48-second span of overtime, and Vermont upset Big East champion Syracuse 60-57 in the first round of the NCAA tournament. |
