3/28/2005: Massive ice sculpture
http://cellar.org/2005/wtf.jpg
"Tête de singe sculptée dans la glace illuminée durant un gala de danse moderne de Robert Wilson sur le site d'une exposition à Nagakute," says the official caption at Yahoo! France, which seems to indicate that this massive ice sculpture was part of a reception for the modern dance of Robert Wilson? http://cellar.org/2005/wtf2.jpg Ah spectacle. |
what the heck is Nagakute, I can understand the rest easily enough.
|
all i can think is "Dr Zaius, Dr Zaius!" as sung by the Simpson's.
|
Very beautiful.
I wonder how big it really is. If the houses and things in the background are real, this thing is enormous. Where did the flourescent fishy go in the second image? |
I'd guess the fish is a boat.
|
Dr. Zaius made a monkey out of me.

Bruce, thats what I thought as well. I remember seeing the shows about those. They are some smart monkeys! :)
Very creative with the sculpture. I love it. I wonder how long it took to make. |
if you look closely, you can see the silhouette of an outboard motor against the bottom left of the fish, capnhowdy.

Now I can't decide which one I like best - the monkey or the boat. |
