Shoot To Kill Real Animals Using Your Computer Mouse For $300
http://www.channel3000.com/technolog...59/detail.html
Think you need a weapon to go hunting? Think again. Inside a shed in Texas is a robotic 22-caliber rifle system people all over the world are tapping, literally. The Web site Live-Shot.com lets computer users log on and start firing a remote rifle by clicking a mouse. Right now, there are only targets to shoot, but starting next month you can hunt live animals. The first live hunt is set for April 9. For $300, you'll get control of a remote camera and rifle and be able to fire real-time bullets at non-native Texas animals, such as baraby, big horn sheep, antelope and wild hogs, on Lockwood's 200-acre fenced ranch. ...more... |
if they let me hunt real people, i'm in. i'll pass on the animals, though - i have a truck for that.

Hmm, problem: what's to stop some deranged person from hacking into the system and shooting anything in sight?

I sure hope they increase the caliber for live targets.
Otherwise, they are going to have one pissed off bighorn sheep. |

I didn't read the link, but I read about this a few months ago. I believe at that time anyway that there was a plan to have a live operator at the ranch who would supervise the sessions and override anybody who tried to shoot at things they shouldn't be shooting at.
