A couple observations from the morning commute

1. There are too damn many people on City Ave. during rush hour. (This is in Philadelphia.)

2. Whilst waiting at a light, I saw a sign at a 7-11 advertising their "Darth Dew Slurpee" in honor of the upcoming Star Wars - Episode III : Revenge of the Sith. My inner child, who saw Star Wars (now known as Star Wars - Episode IV : A New Hope) at the age of 7, is ready to, as Emperor Palpatine said, let the hate flow through him.

3. Most read car bumpers are generally box-shaped--the angles may not be exactly right angles, and there may be some curves thrown in, but it's close. This means that there will be one surface (aka the back) which is perpendicular to the road, and two (aka the top and bottom) which are parallel to the road. If you are placing a bumper sticker on your car, and you want it to be read (which I suppose is an assumption on my part), you have to put it on the back surface. Putting it on the top surface means nobody else will be able to read it from another car.

Unless it's a 'Fuck you Hummer!' sticker on the back of your Civic or something else similarly sized. Hell, you could do that on my Caprice.

On the other hand, I am curious about the "dark side" M&Ms. Not for the Star Wars tie in; I just like dark chocolate.

I picked up some M&Ms on sale the other day. Half price. They were trying to clear the shelves to make room for the Star Wars M&Ms that are coming out.

The Dark Side M&M's are very, very good. I am not as impressed by the Dark Side Peanut M&Ms.

I hope that they add them to the product line permanently when the movie promotion ends.

An additional bonus of the Dark Side M&Ms is that since they are a specialty color mix, I do not have to pick out any blue ones before I can eat them.

I haven't seen any muppets associated with the new movie. Maybe he finally learned that lesson.

minutae: my drummer's wife's uncle was a stormtrooper in the original. he is also gay. she loves to say, "My uncle was a gay stormtrooper". I mean, not everyone can say that.
