An alternative to LJs original "insult the person above you".

I did not start this thread to get a free praise.

Because I'm taking this idea from LJ I will start by praising him. LJ is funny, smart, and gregarious in the best sense of that word.

Tony is (usually) one of the most level-headed and sensible people I've met here. Always donating time, energy and bandwidth, he goes above and beyond to make sure our addiction is met.

Truly awesome.

OC is consistantly tenacious and wholeheartedly dedicated to what she believes.

Dear Catwoman:

I have enjoyed reading your posts over the past several months. Your writing is articulate and provocative. You can be scathingly honest, especially with yourself. I have watched you wrestle with serious personal difficulties, which for many people would be daunting enough, but you not only face your demons, you do so in this unusual pseudo-public forum. That requires courage and maturity. Your own personal and emotional growth is your reward, my reward is to witness it.

I don't think I've ever had something nasty to say about BigV and he's on more than 1000 posts which I think makes him utterly unique.

Jag is a brilliant motherfucker. And he hosts all my websites for free...he rocks!

Sycamore is a fellow Missourian, which makes him slightly more than magnificent to begin with. Add to that his sparkling wit and a keen eye for hipness, and you have the real deal.

Elspode has been, is now and I daresay continues to be one of the most outstanding people I have ever had the pleasure of being in contact with.

He takes us with him on the emotional battlefront when his son is having problems, or when he's working two jobs, or when the bullies are picking on the kids.

He writes the best eulogies ever.

He is simply a good, good, man.



(and since I posted twice, the next person can skip me and rave about him some more...)

I'll rave about UnderToad some more. He made me feel better and rejoin this fine crowd. And he's always friendly and good spirited.

Okay, making this short and sweet:

Gwennie = fun and interesting
OC = rockin out chick...afraid of nothing
Elspode = insightful and honest
sycamore = cool as fuck
jaguar = cute, smart and cocky in an endearing way
BigV = mellow
Catwoman = soulbaringly open and honest
Lookout = interesting posts...I look forward to reading them
UT = Super cool...has unique and usually short posts (a good thing IMHO)

I could go into more detail, but I will spare you all. Just wanted to express the things I like about you guys.

Even though case is totally not following directions for this thread, she's astoundingly cute and awful purdy and kicks a magnificent amount of booty because she is just one of two cellardwellars who's contacted me by instant messenger. And, as we can see from her post, she has quite a generous heart.

breakingnews has never posted a mean-spirited thing on here that i've been able to find. some dark humor, but never mean. everyone should aspire to that kind of um. postage?

all this despite being a "disgruntled minority reporter", probably from some left-wing pinko rag in NYC :D

mrnoodle not only is wise in his choice of Sesame Street inspired names, but he kicks a fair amount of ass musically.
