Urban park in Houston

I just found this place today. Apparently there is a lot of wildlife within the Houston environs:

Action 13 News is nearby covering some disaster:

Surprisingly, there is a lot of wildlife around. At one point I was being followed by a 20-foot woman:

Fenceline:

The locals were very protective. "Back off, this is my trash can!":

This guy didn't get the word that the assault on Normandy was a long time ago:

Yet he still launches his amphibious counterattack:

Using scare tactics:

One can hardly count the critters left floating in the water:

Don't the damn turtles eat the small ducks and maybe the big ones too?

Clodfobble 05-18-2005 09:12 AM

I think we only get box turtles in most of Texas, not snapping turtles. At any rate, I've never seen a turtle attack or eat anything but bread pieces kids throw in the water.

How do they keep the coonasses from stealing & eating the turtles? Opps and the ducks and anything else around there. :D
