Salut!

I love seeing pics from those around the world.

As for my pic, I thought I was being clever and original finding and using the word 'merde!' Then I saw your note on General Cambronnes' comment. So much for originality. How do you say.....c’est la vie.

I was there for Optical Fibre Measurement Conference in September, 1999. Beautiful city! I wish I could have taken a little vacation to spend some time looking around...

PS: I was told by a French co-worker that the only phrase of French that I needed was "Je voudrais un verre du vin rouge." He was right!

The Conference was in an engineering school ? Les Mines, Centrale, Polytechnique, or in "Le Palais des Congrès".

Right for "Je voudrais un verre du vin rouge.", but in Nantes, "vin blanc" (white wine "Muscadet") is more accurate. :)

Never go to India :worried: :
You eat with your right hand, clean your ass with the left one, and there's no toilet paper. (They only use water to wash their hands).
Sometimes there's no seat as well, just a 10 cm hole.

Don't worry. It's a tribute to Nantes and Cambronne. :p

Heck, water gets you much cleaner. My grandmother was disgusted by the whole concept of toilet paper. As for the asian-style squat toilets -- well, you better have good balance.

I take back anything I ever said about France. Ever.

Please forgive me.

Ack! Frickin' Comm-Nazis. I am missing out on so much of life!

bargalunan 09-13-2005 04:29 PM

I've never watched LCI before !!!!
I run and take out a subscription.
It will be a pleasure to see her announce gasoline reach 2 euros.

Thank you MrNoodle to share your info with friends. :)

(I'm not sure it's your will to clearly understand terrorism that make you discover LCI !) :D

Hobbs, I represent the Frickin' Comm-Nazis, and trust me, you want to take a big plate of brownies, or a case of beer, or a twenty dollar bill up or down to his or her office and get an exception made. If it's "his" office, you might just get your pass for free. Regardless, it'll be worth it.

How do you say hubba hubba hubba in french anyway?!

bargalunan 09-14-2005 04:39 PM

I don't understand : "Ack! Frickin' Comm-Nazis", too much slang for me.

hubba hubba in French : Bravo
