Headley, Surrey, England

Who would have believed a little village like Headley could produce a website with so much information. This IS village life in England! Can be a bit perturbing to know that these sorts of things still go on! Check out the shop and then frighten the life out of them by ordering something for delivery to the US!

I think it's lovely... thanks for the link. I love England.

I live in Scotland so I usually berate the English, which makes me kinda hypocritical as I'm half English, hohum :) . Gives me a reason to support you guys in the cricket though, good luck btw.

Oh and Melidasaur, just noticed your signature, I'm a big Coldplay fan

High five, to a fellow Coldplay fan! I've never been to Scotland, but really want to go. I know I would probably love it just as much as I love England. In fact, let's just say I love the whole UK. I despairately want to move there... so hopefully that dream will one day come true.

Everyone is so down on Wales... Wales has some really cool cliffs and hills. I won't count Wales out until I go there... however, based on the Welsh people I know - it could be an "interesting" experience.

I loved Wales when I was there. I was a teenager then, and my parents decided to hand control over to the kids for the tour director job. We mapped out a path to see every castle in Wales. We had a great time. We even spent the night in a youth hostel that used to be King John's (of the Magna Carta) summer home. And the signs are hilarious. Place names are 25 letters long with no vowels.

What's wrong with Wales?

I want to go to Portmerion, and have a fondness for dour men with dark hair and eyes.

Always remember, as a child, our next door neighbour spending months preparing his car for his holiday in Wales - almost completely overhauled it. Left the Saturday and was back home on the Tuesday having suffered torrential rain and floods since arriving there. Sadly my own experiences when visiting haven't been that different.

I'm sure it is OK really though and I wouldn't want to dissuade you with what was, afterall, originally a throwaway comment that seemed to suit the measure of the conversation being undertaken at the time. Yakky da!

And of course...

HELP!! The man is choking! He's being strangled by his own larynx!

I expect Welsh babies must drool a lot more than those from other parts of Great Britain.

The first time I read that I read larynx as language. That image was only slightly funnier than a larynx strangulation. Still...cleaning coffee off the monitor.

Only tongue tied, never oesophagously overcome nor alimentarily anaesthetised, let alone thoraxically throttled (oh, no.... you should have learned to put that coffee down by now). :D

I'm glad the "old photographs" are in black & white so I could tell them apart from the "photographs". :D
