V for Vendetta
 

I know it's a movie and all that but I figured it should go here instead.

I haven't read the graphic novel but I think I may. The movie is slated for March of '06.

What I've read of it makes me think there may be something of an uproar. Anybody disagree? From what I've read online it looks like the Wachowski brothers were inspired by it for some of the elements of the Matrix and had written a bit of screen play back in '90 I believe.

Also, anyone read the novel and what do our island bound friends across the pond think?

Definitely read it. If the movie is at all close to the book, it should cause a bit of an uproar. It was supposed to be released back in November (remember remember), but was pushed back to March. :(

They say it wasn't because of the content, but who knows.

Just watched the high-def trailer. Looks pretty cool. I like the color thing, like Sin City. That's probably what they've been doing during the delay - it wasn't in the original trailer.

Well, they were inspired by that and the other person's script that they entirely ripped off...
