Re-cap your day

Daily re-cap> twin calves this AM a heifer and a bull. A heifer this afternoon, a bull calf at dusk, off to drive two hrs to pick up a bitch to breed to one of my males, a preemie calf born 13 days early when I got home at 10pm. Its in my kitchen trying to get warm. It has to have a temp of 100 before I can feed her. 44 calves to go and I need a cocktail! All I have here is green tea.

I woke up
Then I went downtown to look for a job
Then I hung out in front of the drugstore

My recaps would bore the snot out of everyone. I will live Nirvana's recaps vicariously.

--Cleaned up a diarrhea-covered crib and the accompanying child, after Minifobette managed to pull her diaper off before I could come get her this morning.
--Called 3 doctors about sending various medical records to our new gastroenterologist. Very excited about finally getting in to see this guy; he is the best and has a long waiting list.
--Drove up to Georgetown (about 30 minutes north of me) to pick up my monthly bulk food co-op order.
--Doctor's appointment with the pediatrician that we usually only see once a year (in order to shove it in her face that my kids are recovering like she said they couldn't, but this time we actually needed something from her.) Managed to see the nurse practitioner instead of the actual doctor, so she just signed off on all of the new gastro's lab order requests without trying to explain to me how my kids don't actually have gastrointestinal problems.
--Fed the kids lunch, ate my own random snacks while standing at the computer answering emails and taking callbacks from the three earlier doctors. One of them still can't figure out how to use email.
--Collected some of Minifob's poop, the first of about 10 samples between both kids over the next week.
--Moved the previously-pooped-on bedclothes to the dryer, started non-poop laundry.

Still to do:

Bank, pharmacy, and possibly the x-ray lab, gotta decide if the kids are in a good enough mood for that or if I should push it off until tomorrow.

That's funny, because I have liquor, but I need tea. My throat has been borderline-sick for days now, and hot tea with lots of honey is the only thing that's been holding it at bay.

School swim meet. Pandas rocked the pool, Hebe won the breaststroke.

Woke up, fell out of bed
Dragged a comb across my head
Found my way downstairs and drank a cup
And looking up I noticed I was late

Found my coat and grabbed my hat
Made the bus in seconds flat
Found my way upstairs and had a smoke
And somebody spoke and I went into a dream

I haven't even left the house today, I am so boring.

Slept in, due to late dinner out and then coming home and watching TV half the night.

Got up and cleaned litterbox, fed cat. (He thanked me by forcing me to give him ultimate scritchy scratches for, like...forever.)

Spent some time looking up at various spots on the ceiling, trying to figure out where the water dripping noise has been coming from. Started to feel dizzy. Considered that new neighbors may be water buffalo instead of rhinoceros couple.

Trashed half my emails, read the rest.

Worked on portfolio website content.

Now, still on my computer but not working. Must stop procrastinating and start typing up a bunch of meeting notes. Woo hoo.

Checked Craig's list for cars while I drank my coffee. Wasted some time on the computer for a while. Started to tidy up my apartment, but a friend dropped by for coffee and we shot the breeze for a couple of hours. After he left, decided that tackling my massive backlog of paperwork was more important than cleaning. Got 3 items done, 5 more to go. Walked over to grocery store to buy coffee creamer, and deposit my pay check in bank. Left grocery store with creamer, 2 cans ice tea, a bottle of apricot juice (half price!) and a small jade plant. Lugged everything home and fed cats. Never a dull moment around here.

took my JRT for a walk and found my dream home.

299,999 or thereabouts.

Looks like I'll need a second job.

I am disabled, but it doesn't effect my ability to walk short distances - at least for now.
