debian.org closed over protest

Anyone else noticed debian.org is closed, protesting software patent law?
Good cause and all but they could have at least kept the site up, and just had a front page, going this far becomes extremely annoying (can't access the debian package archive for example) although security.debian.org was still up last i checked.

It comes up for me just fine. Perhaps it was just an unrelated server outage.

When i say down they had just replaced the entire site with a protest page. It's back up now but there is still a message about it at the top.
