VA letter again

Maybe this should get posted under humor? If it wasn't so sad!!

V.A. Medical Center
Jackson, MS.

Dear Mr. Nichols

Thanks for my birthday salutations.

I can only pray that the employees who sent the letter do not work in records or making appointments for veterans who are in need of urgent care.

The birthday letter was dated on 7/06/07 and post marked on 8/16/07, which I received on 8/18/07.

If it takes 40 days for an in house letter to get mailed, what hope do any of us veterans have?

BTW. My records don’t need updating, as suggested on back of my greeting.
Unless the same high quality employees have lost my VA eligibility forms.

Also. If you want any infomation from me, best enclose a prepaid envelope.

Our Post Office takes about that long to mark and mail letters.
I have not recieved many letters back from them.
As for the VA they are still 8 weeks behind on checks.
Would not want to rely on them for anything.

I have been waiting on the VA for years, the only that they are timely about is taking money, and making me wait. if you remember earlier this month I was having trouble being mentally and emotionally unstable. I asked for help and I got some appointments that have been postponed twice each. They have told me that if I am having problems with my sanity to call the police, and have my self arrested for being a danger to my self or others. What a crock.

If you have those problems again take your VA card to any state hospital and they will bill VA.

No, they don't.

Other hospitals will initiate treatment, and assist the patient in an attempt to apply for Medicaid and bill them, failing that the hospital apply for other emergency funding assistance ... but you don't get any money from the V.A. "just because." Now, if the individual is a Service Connected Disabled Vet, there's usually Medicare already in place, so that's what gets billed.

I'm impressed with your ability to not go all Tim McVeigh on the bastards. Stay cool man.

Mr. McVeigh was an idiot. Blowing up buildings and killing people only proves that you are an idiot.

See Article 99. Damn good portrayal of the VA system. Funny too.
