The chronicles of Riddick
Has anyone seen The Chronicles of Riddick yet.I saw the trailer at the movies a while ago and I got my hands on a "promo" dvd shall we say and was very disapointed it looked so good but it failed on so many fronts.
It seemed to have the potential to be very good but in the end it was to me anyway a cheap n nasty 90's version of the "Dune" story. The effects and stunt action shots were very good but without a decent script its all fluff and no substance. "Dune was a cult classic this I'm afraid is'nt |

Without the stupid prison break scenes, it would have been a decent pulp goofy movie. But the "science" behind the prison planet was just too ridiculous to handle.

Hmm
You should try reading the books. Its kind of like when they made Congo into a movie. Great book, absolutley worthless movie. Goes for Sphere too. And Timeline. (They really have a knack for messin up Micheal Crighton books don't they...) The Chronicles of Riddick series (3 part?) is in my opinion up there with Ender's Game and 2001 :P
