Thank you.

Many come here looking for something else, but stay anyway.

Have fun.

Actually, not. Some threads are Anti-AA, but there are many threads you may have missed that are pro-AA where people have been supportive of each other in their battle with alcohol. At the risk of sounding idiotic, I confess to having a foot in each camp. I went thru times of being jailed (twice) because of my drinking. I went thru an AA period. Now I am at the point where I can drink without screwing up. But, alcohol is cunning, baffling, and powerful. So, I have to watch myself.

Kagen, you are a very smart guy. That doesn't protect you from the evil side of alcohol. At age 48, I was the only PhD millionaire in Elmwood Prison back in 2004; Martha Stewart was in jail in NY the same year, but she doesn't have a PhD, Ha!

I'm just saying that it doesn't matter whether you are a high-school dropout or a PhD with 20 years full-time work experience and great successes. Alcohol is cunning, baffling, and powerful; for everyone; even if one handles it well when one is young, it can bite one in the ass later in life.

There was a man here in the library wearing that same style jump suit the other day. Turns out he was on a "field trip" to the library.

Slang: (reading intently) Knox in a box. Fox in socks. Knoxs on fox in socks in box. Socks on Knox and Knox in box. Fox in socks on box on Knox.

J-suit guy: (walks by, glances at me and laughs with his eyes, then quickly remembers that he's on a field trip wearing a red j-suit )

Slang: (Thinks: Damn, I dont have my personal protection hand cannon here...maybe I can throw this Seuss book at him with enough velocity to bring this guy down )

NoNeckGuard: (looks over at me looking at JSG, smiles big) Hi-yall-doin?

Slang: Good thanks (relieved, goes back to reading ) I cant blab such blibber blubber. My tongue isnt made of rubber.

OK, OK, nothing to chuckle at here.....

Very serious topics in process....

So anyway.....

It's interesting that you still have a photo like that RS. I'm thinking that things are better for you now and am glad for that.
