In fact, and I hate to make these generalizations, but in the dark ages when I worked in the computer center in college, I observed this. A man who messed something up was more likely to try to fix it himself, and would generally either succeed, or screw it up beyond all help. Women were much more likely to ask for help immediately before the situation was out of hand. |
