Are you saying people should know how not to be a . . . left-lane dick? I don't even know what that is.

I read somewhere, that if you have a cup, or something that you throw your loose change in, you are in the top 10 % of the world's wealthiest people. People should know that. People should appreciate what they have more.

People should know that whether they are Republicans, or Democrats, they are all still sleazy politicians. I'm way more liberal, than conservative, but I could never stick up for one of my own, with a straight face.

Some resourceful Cellar person should post a link to that pictogram about the richest people in the world where you put in how much you make and it shows you way over to the far right of a row of a long row of tiny little people...

Server is more pc than waiter? That's bizarre.

I agree. I waited tables in college and they could call me just about anything if the tip was big enough (oh, I see too many jokes here).

Unlike waiter/waitress, there's no female version of server, everyone's a server. Gender neutral terms are much more acceptable: mail carrier, flight attendant, spokesperson...

Umm.....we used to say actor and actress. These days usually people just say actor regardless of whether they're referring to a man or a woman. Why can't 'waitress' just be dropped and 'waiter' be used for both? I can understand it with 'spokesman'.
