I can't yet imagine the experience of my parents growing old and failing in health. I'm in my mid-thirties. This will happen sooner rather than later, for me. I can't grasp it. It's foreign to me. Sometimes I look at my dad and he looks old. It frightens me. I don't want this to be around the corner.

I'm sorry to hear about your mom. I wish her a speedy recovery. My dad just came home from the hospital, so I know how terrifying it feels to have a parent admitting into a hospital. Be strong for your mom's sake.

Wolf, I posted earlier in this thread, but it disappeared (forgot to push the right button).

Hang in there, we're thinking of you!

Sorry to hear about it. Take care of yourself and her.

You're in my prayers. While I am not a Messianic Jew, they do have some good Internet resources and the prayer is kosher. I made sure to recite the prayer myself. It's the Sabbath and this is my prayer for today.

I sent off a blessing request to a Chabad, but my guess is that Wolf/Momwolf would not be considered a reasonable request.

Our thoughts are with you.

Rich, thank you so much for that. I like the online prayer resource.

I would also like to thank everyone else for their thoughts, prayers, and postings.

As of today, momWolf is much perkier, more stable, and was moved from the ICU to the cardiac telemetry floor over the weekend.

No, she wasn't actually bad enough for ICU at any point. There weren't any beds in the entire hospital so she was housed there until one came available upstairs.

Thank you for the update, wolf. I'm glad to hear that she's improving (and that she wasn't unwell enough to merit ICU treatment). Here's another pallet.

As Brianna pointed out, the rate of exchange is in my favour at present, so as it turns out I can spare some more love and good wishes.

All the best WolfMom.
