Your answer was not correct, see my comment about Gilbert also playing 7-strings sometimes. Playing the axe sometimes, having one, even designing it doesnt make it HIS. The Jem is HIS, the Universe is just a side thing. I'm sorry, dude, but the 7-string is not what sets Vai apart from Gilbert.

Presumably, whoever Paul Gilbert is, he plays an Ibanez also. In fact, he has a signature Ibanez. "Paul Gilbert's Ibanez"

Whether you were refering to a "signature" guitar or not was not specified. However, Steve Vai actually invented a guitar for Ibanez.

"Steve Vai's Ibanez" is a seven string. "Paul Gilbert's Ibanez" is not. That's a difference.

That is a correct answer. On Jeopardy, when this happens, the judges realize that the contestant produced a correct answer that was not forseen by the writer of the question. This is the fault of the question writer, and not the contestant.

But STEVE VAI'S IBANEZ IS NOT A 7-STRING. He HAS an Ibanez that has seven strings, but so does Gilbert. Therefore the answer is not valid.

You didn't specify, in the question, whether you meant a "signature" guitar, or a guitar that the person actually invented. I answered the question, in it's original form, correctly. You can't make new rules up after I already answered correctly.

Vai has designed more than one model of guitar, and did not invent the 7-string guitar. Please, Flint, just STOP.

But Ibram, if Flint didn't answer the question, and you have since given the correct answer to prove he didn't, doesn't that mean we're all still waiting for you to give us a new question?

No, I didn't give the correct answer; However, I did clarify that Vai's guitar is the Jem and Gilbert's is the PGM.

Now, THAT answer... While not what I was looking for, IS correct.

Steve Vai's Jem:

Paul Gilbert's PGM:

I was LOOKING for 'Vai's has a monkey grip and Gilbert's has painted F-holes', but, the Jem does have a trem, and the PGM has a fixed bridge... Your turn

Cool. You know I was just kidding around, right?

My question: Who performed the voice of Bald-Headed John, on the Frank Zappa album Joe's Garage?
