British Comedy Awards 2008. Get a load of people involved in comedy (performers, producers, writers) etc in one room and with free booze. They stopped it going out live on the BBC years ago thanks to a colourful joke Julian Clary made about fisting. ITV didn't learn. Olivia Lee presents the best new British TV comedy award for The InBetweeners. Never watched it I'm afraid. It was on E4 (satellite) at a time I didn't even have terrestrial. Iain Morris takes the mike, and the abuse from Keven Bishop. He (Bishop) has already shouted rude words during a a previous recorded acceptance speech by Ricky Gervais. In the section shown, Bishop is up for an award for which the InBetweeners wins. He is therefore peeved. The bottle is POM - a pomegranete drink. Left handed! What a star! |
