600-foot fall marks 14th Yosemite death this year
APB TRACIE CONE - Associated Press | AP – Tue, Aug 2, 2011

YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK, Calif. (AP) — A woman slipped to her death Sunday while descending Half Dome in the rain, the latest accident at Yosemite National Park in a year that is breaking records for the deadliest in recent history. Officials at Yosemite National Park say a 26-year-old woman fell 600 feet to her death while climbing Half Dome over the weekend. The woman was identified Monday, Aug. 1, 2011, as Hayley LaFlamme of San Ramon, Calif. Park spokeswoman Kari Cobb says LaFlamme was hiking with three friends Sunday when she slipped in the rain while descending the enormous granite dome. She fell on the shoulder of the dome where the cables end that help hikers navigate the final ascent.

Well, I was in a different park for a start......

Now on way home, in Scottsbluff NE, all set to visit Carhenge tomorrow morning. Still all food prepared by us and no motels! Last night's camping was a little challenging, but it happened, and with grilled chicken for dinner
