I went to a wedding once, and this woman there absolutely loved Lyle Lovett. She kept talking to me and even asked me to dance. And my wife was like: "oh, go on. Dance with her."

I went to check my suit out for this wedding and found that it was moth eaten. Damnit. So I picked up that jacket at a thrift store for 9.99. It pretty much fit, and dry cleaning it was only a few bucks.

glatt, looking dapper!

Nirvana, WARM is the only thing that matters at 13 degrees!! Frostbite is not attractive.

Lola - you are beautiful. Love your hair.

Nirvana, I love your coveralls. I have coveralls envy.

I picked up a pair of coveralls at the same thrift store where I got the jacket for the wedding, and I like them, but they aren't insulated. And they have some other guy's name on them and identify me as working for a local apartment building. The coveralls cost more than the fancy suit jacket. True story.

Modern dentistry is amazing. I can hear the milling machine in the other room making my replacement filling. The 20 year old one had cracked slightly. The new one is milled from a block of ceramic.

Hmm. Modern dentistry is expensive. $400 for that fancy filling. I think the old mercury ones would have been cheaper. He didn't even give me the option, but I also didn't ask. He's a good guy and I bet he would have given me a mercury filling if I had asked for one.

At least my dental insurance will pick up the lion's share of that $400. They say they pay 90% of filling work, but I think that's based on some approved rate they think a filling should cost, and I bet a downtown DC dentist charges more than their approved rate. We'll see. I predict they will reimburse me in the neighborhood of $275.

It's all about the money.
