I believe the idea is to remove the bulk so you can get more vitamins/enzymes/hoohaa. It takes like 5lbs of carrots to make a glass of carrot juice.
I gave my juicer away a few years ago....

Designed to eat carrots? So juicing might anger the carrot god?

That probably would have happened to my friend, but she stopped with the carrots when she noticed her palms turning orange.
